Manage Products

The manage products section is where you can add, search, edit, delete, import and export products.

Adding New Products

In the manage products section there are two ways in which you can add products. Firstly you can click add product which is ideal if you only want to add a few products. Alternatively you can import products via excel which is a quick and easy way to import an unlimited number of products.

Searching Products

Providing you have purchased some credit and have added some products you can search by Product Name, Category, Manufacturer, Product Type, Published and SKU. If you have added a product but have not purchased a Top Up your product will have saved but will not visible and you will not be able to edit it until you add some credit.

Edit Products

To edit a product simply click the edit link on the product you wish to update. Editing products individually is exactly the same as adding a new product for detailed description see

Delete Products

To delete products select the tick box for an individual product or select the box at the top left to select all products on the current page. Once you have selected the product(s) you wish to delete click the delete button. Please note once deleted this can’t be undone so only delete if you are sure otherwise you may prefer to unpublish the product instead.

Import / Export

The Import / Export button is where you can find everything you need to be able to import and export products.

You can export a PDF catalogue of all your products which includes basic info such as Name, Price, SKU and product images.

You can also export all or selected products to Excel file which very useful if you want to make bulk updates to your products.

Bulk Import Products

The quickest and easiest way to upload a lot of products including product images is by using the Import from Excel feature in Manage Products. Most websites and marketplaces have the ability to export products to excel or csv file, if you are able to do this you can very quickly import and unlimited number of products. If you are unable to export your products to csv or excel you could still save a lot of time uploading products by copying and pasting your product details into and excel file which can then be imported.

Before creating your excel file to import it is recommended that you configure product settings including tax, shipping and payment options. For further details on configuring your product settings visit:

Once you have configured your settings we recommend that you add one or two products manually making sure that you include all the necessary details. You can then click the Import / Export button and select export all found to Excel. This will give you an import template with real product details that you can follow when adding the rest of your products.

To complete your template you will also require the correct product category and if applicable the manufacturer ID’s for each product. Click the Import / Export button and select download category list for the full list of all available product categories for your selected industry(s). We have added over 200,000 specification attribute options which are very product specific and assigned to their relevant product subcategories. When manually adding products you will find some specifications are displayed in bold, these also act as filters in Browse Products. If you import products with any of these specification values they will automatically be filters too. Any values that you import are not filters will show on the product page only.

Most of these fields are not mandatory however Name, Industry, MainCategory, SubCategory and ImageURL1 are mandatory fields.

In order for your products to be published you also need make sure every cell for VisibleIndividually and Published says TRUE.

If you do not want to show pricing or want to show only RRP make sure that every cell for  SendInteresForPrice says TRUE otherwise your products will show as £0.00.

SKU is used as the unique identifier rather product name so to avoid duplicates make sure you include the SKU for each product. If two or more products have the same SKU only one will be imported. When you want to bulk update your products simply export your all found products to excel, make any changes and import the file again. For each existing SKU the updated product information will be updated. Any new SKU’s create new product listings.

ImageURLs you can import up to 5 images using the URL (link) to for each image. If you are exporting products from another website should have this in your exported file. If you are creating an import file manually view the image you want, right click your mouse and select “Copy Image URL” “Copy Image Location” or “Copy Image Address” depending on which browse you use. Then paste this link into the image URL column on your import template. Your image URL must contain the full path and be in a valid format as below: - VALID

This image url contains the website domain, full path and ends with supported image extension such as .png .jpg .jpeg

/images/profileimages/22176.png – INVALID

The above URL is incomplete because the website domain is missing which means our servers won’t know where to look for it. - INVALID

The above image URL is complete however there should be no text after the image extension, in this case .png.  If all your image URLS are like this you can solve this quickly and easily. Select the image URL column(s), then Find (ctrl+f) to find .png* and Replace with .png this will remove everything after .png for all your images.

Please also note that it is not possible to import images using image preview URLs which sites such as Dropbox provide.
